Cherries Jubilee

Juicy cherries simmered until saucy, then topped with Cherries + Berries MacroBars®. Served over dairy-free ice cream for a better-for-you, alcohol-free take on the classic dessert!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pitted dark sweet cherries
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp black tea, brewed strong
  • ½ tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 Cherries + Berries MacroBars®, torn into small pieces
  • 2 cups dairy-free vanilla ice cream, for
    serving

Directions

  1. Add cherries, maple syrup, orange juice, and zest tosmall pot. Simmer over medium-low heat until cherries are thawed and softened, approx. 6-8 minutes.
  2. Separately, whisk cornstarch into black tea to form a slurry.
  3. Reduce heat to low and stir slurry into cherries. The mixture will thicken immediately. Cook for 1-2 more minutes, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla bean paste and salt.
  • Spoon warm cherries over dairy-free ice cream and top with MacroBar pieces, serve and enjoy!
