Welcome! Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Statement describes our privacy practices, including our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of personal information. This Privacy Statement applies to Go Macro, LLC (“GoMacro” or “we,” “our” or “us”). References to our “products and services” in this statement include our websites, accounts, community forums, social media page, and other interactions.

California consumers and other users can find specific disclosures regarding how we collect, use, disclose, retain and sell or share personal information by selecting the provided links. And, you may opt-out anytime from the sale or sharing of personal information. Please also review our Terms of Use, which govern your access to and use of our products and services.

Information We Collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us, the products and services you use, and the choices you make.

We collect information about you from different sources and in various ways when you use our products and services, including information you provide directly, information collected automatically from your or your device, information from third-party data sources, and data we infer or generate from other data.

Information you provide directly. We collect personal information you provide to us. For example:

·      Name and contact information. We collect name, username or alias, and contact details such as email address, postal address, and phone number.

·      Demographic data. In some cases, such as when you register or participate in surveys, we request that you provide age, gender, marital status, and similar demographic details (some of which may be protected characteristics under applicable law).

·      Commercial and payment information. If you make a purchase or other financial transaction, we collect credit card numbers, financial account information, and other payment details as well as records of your purchases with us.

·      Communications, content and files. We collect the photos, images, comments, documents, or other files and information you upload or publish to our products and services; and if you communicate with us (such as for support or other purposes where you contact us directly) or via our products and services (including our community forums and other public areas), we collect, in some cases record, and retain those communications.

·      Sensitive Personal Information.

o   Government ID. We collect government-issued identifiers such as driver’s license, passport number, and social security numbers.

o   Account access information. We collect information such as a username or account number in combination with a password, security or access code, or other credential that allows access to an account.

o   Sensitive demographic data. Some of the demographic information you provide to us (as described above)may be considered “sensitive” under applicable laws, including race and ethnicity information.

Information we collect automatically. When you access or use our products and services, we collect some information automatically. For example:

·      Identifiers and device information. When you visit our websites, our web servers automatically log your Internet Protocol (IP) address and information about your device, including device identifiers (such as MAC address); device type; and your device’s operating system, browser, and other software including type, version, language, settings, and configuration. As further described in the “Cookies, Mobile IDs, and Similar Technologies” section below, our products and services store and retrieve cookie identifiers, mobile IDs, and other data.

·      Geolocation data. Depending on your device and app settings, we collect geolocation data when you use our products and services.

·      Usage data. We automatically log your activity on our websites, apps and connected products and services, including the URL of the website from which you came to our sites, pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page, access times, and other details about your use of and actions on our website.

Sources of Information. We collect the categories of personal information described above from you and other parties. These sources include, for example:

·      Directly from you. We collect personal information directly from you or your device, such as when you make a purchase, contact us, engage with our message boards or community forums, or interact with our products and services.

·      Data brokers. Data brokers and aggregators from which we obtain data to supplement the data we collect.

·      Product and service integration providers. Products and services, including social networks you choose to connect with or interact with through our products and services and providers of cookies and similar technologies we use on our website (please see Cookies, Mobile IDs, and Similar Technologies section below).

·      Service providers. Companies that collect or provide personal information in connection with work they do on our behalf, for example companies that determine your device’s location based on its IP address, provide our IT infrastructure including cloud-hosting and communication tools.

·      Corporate transactions. We may receive personal information as part of a corporate transaction or proceeding such as a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, or a transfer, divestiture, or purchase of all or a portion of another business or their assets.

·      Publicly available sources. Public sources of information such as open government databases.

Information we create or generate. We infer new information about you from other data we collect, including using automated means to generate information about your likely preferences or other characteristics (“inferences”). For example, we infer your general geographic location (such as city, state, and country) based on your IP address and infer products and services you may be interested in by your previous browsing history.

When you are asked to provide personal information, you may decline. And you may use web browser or operating system controls to manage or prevent certain types of automatic data collection. But if you choose not to provide or allow information that is necessary for certain services or features, those services or features may not be available or fully functional.

Cookies, Mobile IDs, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, mobile analytics and advertising IDs, and similar technologies to operate our products and services and to help collect data, including usage data, identifiers, and device information.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed by a website and stored by your browser on your device. A cookie can later be read when your browser connects to a web server in the same domain that placed the cookie. The text in a cookie contains a string of numbers and letters that may uniquely identify your device and can contain other information as well. This allows the web server to recognize your browser over time, each time it connects to that web server.

Web beacons (also called clear GIFs or pixels) are electronic images that are contained within a website or email. When your browser opens a webpage or email that contains a web beacon, it automatically connects to the web server that hosts the image (typically operated by a third party). This allows that web server to log information about your device and to set and read its own cookies. In the same way, third-party content on our websites (such as embedded videos, plug-ins, or ads) results in your browser connecting to the third-party web server that hosts that content. We also include web beacons in our email messages or newsletters to tell us if you open and act on them.

Mobile analytics and advertising IDs are generated by operating systems for mobile devices (iOS and Android) and can be accessed and used by apps in much the same way that websites access and use cookies. Our apps contain software that enables us and our third-party analytics and advertising providers to access these mobile IDs.

How do we and our providers use cookies and similar technologies?

We, and our analytics and advertising providers, use these technologies in our products and services to collect personal information (such as the pages you visit, the links you click on, and similar usage information, identifiers, and device information) when you use access and use our products and services, including personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services. This data is used to store your preferences and settings, enable you to sign-in, analyze how our websites and apps perform, track your interaction with the site or app, develop inferences, deliver and tailor interest-based advertising, combat fraud, and fulfill other legitimate purposes. We and/or our providers also share the data we collect or infer with third parties for these purposes. For more information about the third-party analytics and advertising providers that collect personal information on our products and services, please see the “Our Disclosure of Personal information” section of this statement.

What controls are available?

There are a range of controls to manage your choices available through browsers, mobile operating systems, and elsewhere. See the “Choice and Control of Personal information” section below for details.

Our Use of Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect for purposes described in this Privacy Statement or as otherwise disclosed to you. For example, we use each of the categories of personal information we collect for the following purposes:

·       Product and service delivery.  To provide and deliver information, our products and services, or additional services that you have requested or agreed to receive, including troubleshooting, improving, and personalizing our products and services.

·       Business operations.  To operate our business, such as billing, accounting, improving our internal operations, securing our systems, detecting fraudulent or illegal activity, and meeting our legal obligations.

·       Product improvement, development, and research. To develop new products and services, and conduct research.

·       Personalization. To understand you and your preferences to enhance your experience and enjoyment using our products and services.

·       Customer support. To provide customer support and respond to your questions or other requests.

·       Communications.  To send you information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, support and administrative messages, and to process your registration with our products and services, including verifying your email address.

·       Marketing. To communicate with you about new products and services, offers, promotions, rewards, contests, upcoming events, and other information about our products and services and those of our selected providers (see the “Choice and Control” section of this Privacy Statement about how to change your preferences for promotional communications).

·       Advertising.  To display advertising to you (see the “Cookies” and “Choice and Control” sections of this Privacy Statement for information about personalized advertising and your advertising choices).

We combine personal information we collect from different sources for these purposes to help provide you a more seamless, consistent, and personalized experience.

We do not collect, use, or sell personal information for the purpose of training large language models.

Our Disclosure of Personal Information

We disclose personal information as we determine is necessary to complete your transactions, provide the products and services you have requested or authorized, or where required, with your authorization or consent. In addition, we disclose each of the categories of personal information described above, to the categories of recipients described below, for the following business purposes:

·      To the public. You may select options available through our products and services to publicly display and disclose certain personal information, such as your name and/or username and certain other information, such as your profile, demographic data, content and files, or approximate location data.

·      Service providers. We disclose personal information to vendors or agents working on our behalf for the purposes described in this statement. For example, companies we’ve hired to provide customer service support or assist in protecting and securing our systems, products, and services may need access to or use of personal information to provide their services.

·      Financial services & payment processing. When you provide payment data, for example to make a purchase, we will disclose payment and transactional data to financial institutions and other entities as necessary for payment processing, fraud detection and prevention, credit risk reduction, analytics, or other related financial services.

·      Corporate transactions. We may disclose personal information as part of a corporate transaction or proceeding such as a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, or a transfer, divestiture, or sale of all or a portion of our business or assets.

·      Legal and law enforcement. We will access, disclose, and preserve personal information when we believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including from law enforcement, national security, or other government agencies.

·      Security, safety, and protecting rights. We will disclose personal information if we believe it is necessary to:

o   protect our customers and others, for example to prevent spam or attempts to commit fraud, or to help prevent the loss of life or serious injury of anyone;

o   operate and maintain the security of our products and services, including to prevent or stop an attack on our computer systems or networks; or

o   protect the rights or property of ourselves or others, including enforcing our agreements, terms, and policies.

Our analytics and advertising providers also collect personal information from you when you access or use our website and apps. They may receive categories of personal information such as identifiers and device information, geolocation data, usage data, and inferences based on and associated with that data, as described in the “Cookies” section of this Privacy Statement. Some of these providers may combine this data across multiple sites for their own purpose and others. For example, we use Google Analytics on our website to help us understand how users interact with our website; you can learn how Google collects and uses information at [www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners](https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners).

Some of the data disclosures to these third parties may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as defined under the laws of California and other U.S. states.  Please see the “Choice and Control” and “California Privacy Rights” sections below for more details.

Please note that some of our products and services also include integrations, references, or links to services provided by third parties whose privacy practices differ from ours. If you provide personal information to any of those third parties, or allow us to share personal information with them, your personal information is governed by their Privacy Statements.

Finally, we may disclose de-identified information in accordance with applicable law. When we disclose de-identified information, we have processes in place designed to ensure the information cannot be reassociated with you. And, we obligate recipients of de-identified information to maintain and use such de-identified information in accordance with applicable law.

Choice and Control of Personal information

We provide a variety of ways for you to manage your personal information including choices about how we use that data. In some jurisdictions, these controls and choices may be enforceable as rights under applicable law.  California residents can learn more about their additional rights and choices below.

Access, portability, correction, and deletion. If you wish to access, copy, download, transfer, correct, or delete personal information about you that we hold, you can send us a request by using the Privacy Request Form, emailing us at privacy@gomacro.com, or contact methods described at the bottom of this Privacy Statement.

Communications preferences. You can choose whether to receive promotional communications from us by email, SMS, physical mail, and telephone. If you receive promotional email or SMS messages from us and would like to stop, you can do so by following the directions in that message or by contacting us as described in the “Contact Us” section below. If you receive a sales call from us, you can ask to be placed on our do-not-call list. These choices do not apply to certain informational communications including surveys and mandatory service communications.

Targeted advertising. To opt-out from or otherwise control targeted advertising, you have several options, including:

·      Using opt out using the “Your Privacy Choices” page on our site.

·      Implementing and using the Global Privacy Control setting in a web browser or browser extension as described below under the “Global Privacy Control” bullet point.

·      Using the opt-out controls offered by the organizations our advertising providers may participate in, which you can access at:

o   United States: Digital Advertising Alliance (http://optout.aboutads.info/)

o   Canada: Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada (https://youradchoices.ca/)

These choices are generally specific to the device or browser you are using. If you access our products and services from other devices or browsers, take these actions from those devices or browsers to ensure your choices apply to the data collected when you use them.

Data sales. Some privacy laws define “sale” broadly to include some the disclosures described in the “Our Disclosure of Personal information” section above. To opt-out from such data “sales” go to our “Your Privacy Choices” page and follow the instructions there.

Profiling and automated decision-making. Some privacy laws provide a right to opt-out from profiling and/or automated decision-making that produce a legal or similarly significant effect. As we described in the Cookies, Mobile IDs, and Other Technologies section above, we process personal information to track your interaction with our site or app, develop inferences, and deliver and tailor interest-based advertising. To opt-out from such processing, follow the opt-out options above.

Browser, device, or platform controls.

·      Cookie controls. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can go to your browser settings to learn how to delete or reject cookies. If you choose to delete or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our website. If you choose to delete cookies, settings and preferences controlled by those cookies, including advertising preferences, may be deleted and may need to be recreated.

·      Global Privacy Control. Some browsers and browser extensions support the “Global Privacy Control” (GPC) or similar controls that can send a signal to the websites you visit indicating your choice to opt-out from certain types of data processing, including data sales and/or targeted advertising, as specified by applicable law. When we detect such a signal, we will make reasonable efforts to respect your choices indicated by a GPC setting or similar control that is recognized by regulation or otherwise widely acknowledged as a valid opt-out preference signal.

·      Mobile advertising ID controls. iOS and Android operating systems provide options to limit tracking and/or reset the advertising IDs.

·      Do Not Track. Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that can send a signal to the websites you visit indicating you do not wish to be tracked. Unlike the GPC described above, there is not a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal; therefore, our websites do not respond to browser DNT signals. Instead, you can use the range of other tools to control data collection and use, including the GPC, cookie controls, and advertising controls described above.

 

Email web beacons. Most email clients have settings that allow you to prevent the automatic downloading of images, including web beacons, and the automatic connection to the web servers that host those images.

Except for the automated controls described above, if you send us a request to exercise your rights or these choices, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we may decline requests in certain cases. For example, we may decline requests where granting the request would be prohibited by law, could adversely affect the privacy or other rights of another person, would reveal a trade secret or other confidential information, or would interfere with a legal or business obligation that requires retention or use of the data. Further, we may decline a request where we are unable to authenticate you as the person to whom the data relates, the request is unreasonable or excessive, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law. If you receive a response from us informing you that we have declined your request, in whole or in part, you may appeal that decision by submitting your appeal using the contact method described at the bottom of this Privacy Statement.

California Disclosures

 

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident and the processing of personal information about you is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have certain rights with respect to that information.

Notice at Collection. At or before the time of collection, you have a right to receive notice of our practices, including the categories of personal information and sensitive personal information to be collected, the purposes for which such information is collected or used, whether such information is sold or shared, and how long such information is retained. You can find those details in this Privacy Statement by clicking on the above links.

Right to Know. You have a right to request that we disclose to you the personal information we have collected about you. You also have a right to request additional information about our collection, use, disclosure, or sale of such personal information. Note that we have provided much of this information in this Privacy Statement. You may make such a “request to know” as described below under “Exercising your Rights.”

Rights to Request Correction or Deletion. You also have rights to request that we correct inaccurate personal information and that we delete personal information under certain circumstances, subject to several exceptions. You may make such a “request to correct” or “delete” as described below under “Exercising your Rights.”

Right to Opt-Out / “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” You have a right to opt-out from future “sales” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

Note that the CCPA defines “sell,” “share,” and “personal information” very broadly, and some of our data disclosures described in this Privacy Statement may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under those definitions. In particular, we let advertising and certain analytics providers collect identifiers (IP addresses, cookie IDs, and mobile IDs), activity data (browsing, clicks, app usage), device data, and geolocation data through our sites and apps when you use our online products and services, but do not “sell” or “share” any other types of personal information. If you do not wish for us or our providers to “sell” or “share” personal information relating to your visits to our sites for advertising purposes, you can opt out as described further below under “Exercising Your Privacy Rights.” If you opt-out using these choices, we will not disclose or make available such personal information in ways that are considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA. However, we will continue to disclose certain personal information to our service providers to help us perform analytics and advertising-related functions. Further, using these choices will not opt you out of the use of previously “sold” or “shared” personal information or stop all interest-based advertising.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 16 years of age.

Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information. You have a right to limit our use of sensitive personal information for any purpose other than to provide our products and services or goods you request or as otherwise permitted by law.

Note that we do not use sensitive personal information for any such additional purposes.

Finally, you have a right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights set out in the CCPA.

Exercising Your Privacy Rights

This section describes how to exercise the rights described above

 

Right to opt out from “sales” of personal information or “sharing” of personal information for cross context behavioral advertising

·      Your Privacy Choices Link: You can visit our “Your Privacy Choices” page via the link at the bottom of our website to exercise your request (the link will either be “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”)  

·      Submitting a Request: You can submit a request via our Privacy Request form.

·      Global Privacy Control. Please review the “Browser, device and platform controls” section above for more information on how we process signals from the Global Privacy Control.

 

Non-Logged-In Users: If you or your authorized agent use the Your Privacy Choices link or Global Privacy Control to exercise your sale/sharing opt out and are not logged in to your GoMacro account, we will need some additional information from you to fully process your request. If you choose to proceed with the sale/sharing opt out without logging into your account or providing additional information, we will process this opt out request for your specific browser, application, or device (including any associated profile in our system).

 

All other rights: If you wish to exercise your other privacy rights, such as the right to know, correct, or delete, please send us your request via our Privacy Request form or email us at privacy@gomacro.com. To help protect the security of your personal information, we will need to verify your identity. We will verify your request by asking you to confirm your email address used on your most recent order (if different than the one used to make the request) and shipping address or phone number tied to your account.

 

You may designate, in writing or through a power of attorney, an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights under the CCPA. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require the agent to provide proof you have authorized it to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us.

 

California Notice of Financial Incentive

We offer programs that provide benefits, such as rewards points, discounts, or other promotional offerings (each, a “GoMacro Rewards Program”), to individuals who choose to participate.

Summary of the Program. Through our GoMacro Rewards Program, participants may receive rewards or other benefits in connection with purchases or account activity. Participation is voluntary and subject to our program terms.

Personal Information Collected. When you opt in to participate in our GoMacro Rewards Program, we collect and process the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with the program:

·      Identifiers (such as name, email address, account credentials);

·      Commercial information (such as purchase history and rewards activity);

·      Internet or other electronic network activity information (such as interactions with our website or account portal).

The categories of personal information involved may vary by program.

How to Participate. You may join a GoMacro Rewards program by enrolling through your online account or other registration method provided at the time of sign-up. By enrolling, you understand that we will collect, use, retain, and disclose personal information as described in this Privacy Statement.

Right to Withdraw. You may withdraw from a GoMacro Rewards Program at any time by contacting us as described in the “Contact Us” section of this Privacy Statement. If you withdraw, you will no longer receive program benefits going forward, but withdrawal will not affect benefits already earned to the extent permitted by program terms.

How the Incentive is Valued. The benefits offered through our GoMacro Rewards Programs are reasonably related to the value of the personal information provided. We estimate the value of personal information in good faith by considering such factors as:

·      The financial value derived from increased customer engagement and purchases associated with program participation; and

·      The costs associated with providing program benefits.

Rewards benefits are provided by GoMacro using a third-party application, Yotpo to manage program benefits.

If you request that we delete any of your personal information that is essential to administering the GoMacro Rewards Program (such as account or transaction records used to associate rewards with a customer), we will not be able to provide you with the benefits of that program.

California “Shine the Light” Disclosure

Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine the Light” law, California residents who have provided personal information to a business with which the individual has established a business relationship for personal, family, or household purposes (“California Customers”) may request information about whether the business has disclosed personal information to any third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes.

Note that we do not disclose personal information to any such third parties for their direct marketing purposes as defined by this law.

Retention of Personal information

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our products and services and fulfill the transactions you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for other legitimate and lawful business purposes. Because these needs can vary for different data types in the context of different products and services, actual retention periods can vary significantly based on criteria such as user expectations or consent, the sensitivity of the data, the availability of automated controls that enable users to delete data, and our legal or contractual obligations.

Location of Personal information

The personal information we collect may be stored and processed in your country or region, or in any other country where we or our affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers process data, some of which may have laws that offer different levels of data protection than the country in which you reside. Currently, we use data centers in the United States. The storage location(s) are chosen to operate efficiently and improve performance. We take steps to process and protect personal information as described in this Privacy Statement wherever the data is located.

Security of Personal Information

We take reasonable and appropriate steps designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

To help us protect personal information, we request that you use a strong password and never share your password with anyone or use the same password with other sites or accounts.

Changes to this Privacy Statement

We will update this Privacy Statement when necessary to reflect changes in our products and services, how we use personal information, or the applicable law. When we publish updates to this Privacy Statement, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the statement. If we make material changes to this Privacy Statement, we will provide notice or obtain consent regarding such changes as may be required by law.
