Chocolate and cherries is one of our favorite duos, and with this recipe, we’re sure it’ll be one of yours, too! Perfect for a post-workout snack or a simple dessert, these truffles are easy to make, loaded with plant-based protein, and bursting with real fruit. With just a few ingredients and minimal prep time, you'll have a batch of energy-boosting treats that are as nutritious as they are delicious!

Ingredients
- 4 Medjool dates, pitted
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp creamy almond butter
- 6 - 7 dark cherries, frozen, pitted, thawed and lightly pressed to remove excess moisture
- 2 Cherries + Berries MacroBars®, chopped or torn into small pieces
- 1/2 cup high-quality dairy-free dark chocolate
- 1/8 tsp coconut oil, optional
- 2 - 3 tbsp freeze-dried cherries, strawberries, or raspberries, crushed into a fine powder
Directions
1. Add Medjool dates, cocoa powder, almond butter, and cherries to food processor. Blend until dough ball forms, adding additional cocoa powder if necessary.
2. Add MacroBar bits and pulse until a thick, scoopable dough forms. Roll dough into 12 balls.
3. Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, adding coconut oil if necessary.
4. Dip dough balls into melted chocolate and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, immediately sprinkling with crushed freeze-dried berries.
5. Place baking sheet in refrigerator for 1 hour, or freezer for 15 to 30 minutes, to set. Once set, store truffles in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
6. Enjoy chilled or at room temperature!
