Our Bigger Than A Bar ethos is deeply rooted within our products, our company mission, and each of our employees. At GoMacro, giving back isn’t just an idea, it’s one of our five pillars, that guides the decisions we make, the products we sell, and the way we operate as a mother-daughter owned business.

Give Back Bars
We’ve dedicated three of our MacroBars (and counting!) as Give Back bars, with a portion of their proceeds going to several non-profits, whose work helps further spread our mission while also supporting local communities throughout the U.S.
Farm Sanctuary – During the month of May, 10% of net proceeds from our Peanut Butter MacroBar are donated to Farm Sanctuary. Their mission is to protect farm animals from cruelty, to inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and to promote compassionate, vegan living.
Keep A Breast Foundation – During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we donate 10% of net proceeds from our Cherries + Berries MacroBar to the Keep A Breast Foundation, whose work focuses on youth-oriented breast health education and cancer prevention strategies through non-toxic living.
Year Long Giving
In addition to our two month-long Give Back bars, we give 1% of annual net sales from our Coconut + Almond Butter + Chocolate Chips MacroBar to Feeding San Diego, and Solutions For Change, whose missions collectively work towards providing food for the hungry, reducing food waste, and eradicating family homelessness. In addition, we’ve also donated over 375,000 MacroBars to various food pantries for those in need.

“I Give Back” Day
We’ve established a policy for all of our employees, encouraging them to spend one paid working day giving back to their community or volunteering with a non-profit organization of their choice. No matter how big or small the endeavor, every act of charity can move mountains. Not only does this help the community, but it gives our employees a chance to experience the joy of giving back.
Giving Through Sustainability
We’ve successfully prevented over 280,000 pounds of production scraps from making its way into local landfills by sharing our edible waste with local farmers to be used as animal feed. We also donate our empty nut-butter pails to local businesses for use as storage containers.
Let’s All Give
Our hope today is that the more we give, the more it will inspire others to do the same. From packing meals at a food shelter, to planting seeds at a community garden, there are endless ways for all of us to do our part.
